Beta-glucanase

Beta-Glucanase represents a group of carbohydrate enzymes which break down glycosidic bonds within beta-glucan.

Product Description

Brief introduction

β-glucanases degrade β-1,4-glucans of cellulose, xyloglucan and β-1,4-xylan(hemicelluloses,See the figure below),which break up β-glucan in the barley and cereal endosperm cell wall, reduce the effect of anti nutritional factors, improve absorption of nutrients, feed conversion efficiency and animal growth performance.

Microbial degradation of hemicellulose

In addition,  β -Glucanase was used as a cellulase enzyme in the combined biological and chemical pretreatment method for lignocellulosic ethanol production from energy cane. It was also used in the enzymatic saccharification of cellulose and production of ethanol. Glucanase Related Reading >>>

Function

1. Cooperate with xylanase and cellulase, destroy the cell wall of plant, degrade β-glucan in wheat/barley diets, release other intracellular nutrients, improve the absorption of nutrients and feed utilization efficiency.

2. Reduce the viscosity of chyme, improveimprove the utilization rate of feed,  morphology of animal digestive tract, and the ecological environment.

3. Increase the activity of endogenous enzyme in animal intestinal tract.

4. Change intestinal microbial flora and reduce the accumulation of harmful bacteria. Beta glucan enzyme also enhances immunity and improves growth performance of livestock and poultry.

Feature

β – glucanase is an incision enzyme, exclusively affect on1,3 and 1,4 glycosidic bond in β–glucanase, and produce 3-5 oligosaccharides and glucose with glucose as unit, which is made of excellent strains through liquid fermentation. This product can effectively decompose β–glucanase in wheat and cereal endosperm cell walls, in feed it can be used to reduce the content of non starch polysaccharides (NSP) and anti-nutritional factors, and improve the nutrients absorption of livestock and poultry, increase the animal growth rate and feed conversion ratio (FCR).

Unit Definition

In the condition of 37 ℃and pH 5.5, what 1μmol reducing sugar that is released by degradation of sodium β – glucanase solution with concentration of 4 mg/mL required enzyme amount is an activity unit .
